Re: EU lacks will to lead world, Volume 11, Number 16, April 25 - May 1, 2005
Europeans themselves must be honest, as well as the EU institutions with its citizenry. Europe must want to be united.
There could be two houses in their parliament: one based [proportionally] on population and an upper house where every nation gets an equal vote. Each nation would be given the choice to keep its borders as is or to change them. For example, possibly the Czechs and Slovaks would reunite to be a bit more stronger, etcetra.
Each country would have the same power as an American state, but there would be one leader, one army etc. Only then could Europe compete with the USA or China. I don't mean [just] militarily, but in all aspects. The idea that the French or the British or even the Poles do what they want only divides Europe. We'll just have to see, but the politicians must be honest with the people so they don't get cynical and turned off.
