THE RULING coalition parties have once again postponed a decision to reduce the level of immunity from prosecution of members of parliament, the Hospodárske noviny daily reports.
Representatives of the parties decided to form a new special coalition committee to examine the issue and create a draft bill by the end of April.
The chairman of the Hungarian Coalition
Party (SMK), Béla Bugár, said that all the coalition members had confirmed their commitment to regulating the immunity of parliamentary deputies.
However, analysts warn that forming a new committee is a tried and trusted method of sweeping issues under the carpet.
