According to the Hospodárske noviny daily, Health Minister Rudolf Zajac has already signed one third of the operator licenses for the 141 stations.

The ministry tender commission was to announce the results of the second round of the tender at the end of the first week of April. In the second round the commission also took into consideration whether a candidate had been successful in the first round, or, if unsuccessful, whether a candidate had improved its project.

In the second round the commission evaluated 493 applications for 141 emergency stations, each of which provide ambulance services to a set district. Some 66 candidates, including capital groups, took part in the tender. The Penta capital group, for example, submitted bids for 70 stations.
