PRESIDENT Rudolf Schuster spent part of his summer break in Ukraine meeting his counterpart Leonid Kuchma, whom the western world has condemned for his lack of respect for democratic rule.
His regular meetings with Kuchma are a scandal and unpleasant faux pas, according to political scientist Miroslav Kusý.
Schuster has already been censured for his friendly links with Kuchma but he has not accepted that criticism.
The Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry considers Schuster's holiday his private business.
