THREE SKINHEADS who attacked a parliamentary election candidate for the Roma Civil Initiative, Miroslav Didiáš of north Slovakia's Poprad, were arrested by police shortly after the attack.
Didiáš, who suffered only minor injuries, said he had a witness to confirm that the attack had a racial motive, as one of the offenders had shouted at him "it's because you're a gypsy".
Didiáš also thanked the officers for their speedy action, adding that the case been "a positive experience" for him.
"If a victim co-operates with the police, officers act quickly and effectively," he said.
