Slovak foreign trade reported a surplus at €315.7 million in November 2012. Therefore the Statistics Office surplus increased its original predictions by €21.5 million, the SITA newswire reported on February 8.
The total exports of goods from Slovakia in November 2012 increased by 9.2 percent year-on-year to €5.8 billion, while the total imports rose by 5.5 percent year-on-year to €5.5 billion. During the first 11 months of 2012 the foreign trade reported an active balance at €3.5 billion, which is €2.4 billion more than in 2011.
Slovakia reported the highest active balance with Germany: €3.3 billion. The active balance with the Czech Republic stood at €2.8 billion, and with Poland at €2.7 billion. On the other hand, Slovakia had the highest negative balance with the Republic of Korea: €5.1 million, SITA reported.
