Slovak highway stickers to remain in use in 2010

Owners of motor vehicles weighing up to 3.5 tons will pay for the use of highways by buying a highway sticker at the current prices for next year, the SITA newswire wrote. However, according to new rules motor vehicles weighing over 3.5 tons will pay e-tolls for selected highway stretches.

Highway stickers for 2010 will change colour, shape and major identification elements on the outer and inner side. The highway stickers with a validity of one year will be blue, those with a validity of one month will be orange and for one week green. Vehicles will pay €36.51 for a one-year sticker, €9.96 for one month and €4.98 for one week. SITA
