Slovak PM attending Eastern Partnership summit on May 7

Prime Minister Robert Fico is leading the Slovak delegation at the Eastern Partnership summit in Prague on Thursday, May 7 which will be attended by 27 European Union member states and six post-Soviet states - Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia, the TASR newswire reported.

The event will be the first ever meeting at the highest levels of the Eastern Partnership and the project is regarded by the EU as one of its crucial engagements vis-a-vis its eastern neighbours, TASR wrote.

The goal of the summit is to deepen political rapprochement and economic integration and to speed up political and economic reforms in Eastern Partnership countries in line with EU values. TASR
