Slovak Roman-Catholic bishops back Franciscans accused of child abuse

The Conference of Slovak Bishops (KBS) has expressed its trust and support for members of the Franciscan order, three of whom are suspected of child abuse.

The Conference of Slovak Bishops (KBS) has expressed its trust and support for members of the Franciscan order, three of whom are suspected of child abuse.

“We believe that investigations carried out in line with the laws of the Slovak Republic will prove these accusations are unjustified. Based on the facts revealed so far, the members of Franciscan order have not lost our trust,” the KBS said in a statement.
