AFTER more than five months of deliberating, Slovakia has agreed with NATO's request to relocate its sapper unit in Afghanistan from Kabul in the north to Kandahar in the south.
According to PM Robert Fico, the soldiers will move to Kandahar this summer and be stationed at the local airbase.
Slovakia is thought to have around 65 soldiers in Afghanistan but details of the move are not being disclosed for safety reasons, the Sme daily wrote.
