SOME 1.5 million foreigners spent at least one night in Slovakia last year, up eight percent over 2004. However, the average length of stay was down slightly to 3-2 nights, according to the Economy Ministry.
Robert Kohlmann, president of the Slovak Association of Travel Agencies, said the figures were not encouraging, and that Slovakia was not doing enough to attract tourists from countries other than Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic.
