AFTER skipping Expo 2012 Yeosu in South Korea, Slovakia is preparing to participate in the next world exhibition scheduled to take place in Milan, Italy in 2015. The costs are projected to reach €3.96 million, and the national pavilion is expected to be 1,000 square metres in size. The last time Slovakia participated in a world Expo was in Shanghai in 2010, the SITA newswire reported.
Slovakia received the invitation to participate in the Expo from former Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusoni, along with 129 other countries and 10 international organisations, in January 2011. The theme for Expo 2015 will be Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.
