Wins on Sunday by Slovak female tennis players Daniela Hantuchová and Janette Husárová over their Spanish competition gave Slovakia victory in the Fed Cup, the top international women’s team tennis meet.
Hantuchová, 19, beat Conchita Martinez 6-7, 7-5, 6-4 to put Slovakia up 2-1 in matches, while Husárová defeated Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario 6-0, 6-2 to seal the victory.
