The 15th edition of the annual Pohoda festival held at the airport in Trenčín in western Slovakia ended successfully on Sunday July 10.

“This year, the event definitively made its way among the most interesting [events] in Europe,” the Sme daily wrote in its story covering the festival, adding that the success came mainly from a well-composed programme that attracted audiences from Slovakia as well as from neighbouring countries and new offerings prepared by the organisers.

It was also the first time that the Pohoda festival was sold out before the event started. The festival featured headline groups such as Moby, Portishead, Pulp, M.I.A., Madness and Lamb, Sme wrote.

The presence of too many politicians at the festival was among the minuses that the daily wrote about the festival. It was attended by PM Iveta Radičová, two ministers of her government, as well as the Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Richard Sulík.
