Spiš gets two more investors

EMBRACO, the Brazilian producer of compressors for cooling devices, has attracted two new investors to Spišská Nová Ves, in eastern Slovakia.

The Italian producer of parts for electro-engines, Sitem Slovakia, and Brazilian plastics producer CRW, will invest Sk350 million (€9.22 million) and Sk300 million (€7.9 million) respectively in Spišská Nová Ves, the daily Pravda wrote. The two companies will create a total of 520 new jobs in a region stricken with 20 percent unemployment.

Sitem will employ 70 people in the first stage and increase the number to 100 in the next five years, doubling the investment at the same time.

CRW will employ 420 people.
