SPP to modernise natural gas transport

ČKD Praha DIZ, a.s. – ČKD Bratislava will install fully automatic control systems at compressor stations on the Slovak gas utility Slovenský Plynárenský Priemysel (SPP)’s pipeline.

The project will require a total investment of €20 million (around Sk675 million). The new station control systems will be able to communicate with the transit control centre and will control all the machines at the compressor station.

A consortium of the German E.ON Ruhrgas and the French Gaz de France holds a 49-percent stake in SPP. The government owns a 51-percent stake through the government privatization agency the National Property Fund (FNM) with the Economy Ministry executing shareholder rights on its behalf.
