SSE, Stredoslovenská Energetika, which supplies electricity to almost 700,000 customers in central Slovakia, has a new CEO, with Antoine Jourdain replacing Pierre Chazerain in the post. Chazerain, who served in the SSE post for more than four years, will take a management position in the headquarters of SSE’s parent company, Electricité de France in Paris, according to a news release from Jana Bolibruchová, SSE’s spokeswoman, as reported by the SITA newswire.
The electricity distributor has been in operation for over 85 years but has also extended its product portfolio to include supplying natural gas due to increasing competition in the electricity distribution market. Electricité de France holds a 49-percent share of the company and Slovakia’s National Property Fund holds 51 percent.
