State budget deficit was €17.74 million in January

The state budget recorded a €17.74 million deficit during January 2011, the Finance Ministry announced on Tuesday, February 1.

The state budget recorded a €17.74 million deficit during January 2011, the Finance Ministry announced on Tuesday, February 1.

In the same period of last year, the public finances recorded a surplus of €22.81 million, the TASR newswire wrote. The overall deficit this year is expected to reach €3.8 billion. State incomes stood at €830.38 million in January, an increase of 3.75 percent year-on-year. Expenditures reached €848.11 million, meaning that they grew by 9.08 percent when compared to January 2010.
