State budget posted surplus of Sk9.577 billion to end of November

The state budget posted a surplus of Sk9.577 billion (€317.9 million) to the end of November, according to data released by the Finance Ministry on December 1.

The state budget posted a surplus of Sk9.577 billion (€317.9 million) to the end of November, according to data released by the Finance Ministry on December 1.

Compared to the same period last year, when a surplus of Sk5.449 billion (€180.87 million) was posted, the figure for this year represents a year-on-year improvement of Sk4.128 billion (€137 million). The state-budget draft for 2008 projected a deficit of Sk32 billion (€1.06 billion) for the whole year.

Budget incomes for the first 11 months of this year stood at Sk307 billion (€10.2 billion), or 88.18 percent of the planned sum for the whole of 2008 - Sk348.252 billion (€11.56 billion). Expenditures for the same period were Sk297.5 billion (€9.88 billion), which represents 78.24 percent of the projected sum for the whole of this year - Sk380.233 billion (€12.62 billion).
