Slovakia's state budget for the first seven months of 2006 showed a deficit of Sk5.244 billion (€131 million), down Sk7.166 billion year-on-year, the Finance Ministry reported.
Budget revenues for the period rose by Sk12.272 billion y-o-y to Sk166.453 billion, or 61 percent of the full-year target. Total expenditures reached Sk171.697 billion, up by Sk19.438 billion on the year and reaching 52 percent of the projected amount for the whole of 2006, news wire TASR wrote.
Tax revenues totaled Sk135.46 billion to the end of July, or 62.8 percent of the full-year target, while non-tax revenues stood at Sk12.671 billion, or 84.7 percent of the amount projected for the whole of 2006.
