Juraj Hossu, accused of the manslaughter of Filipino Henry Acorda, remains in custody.
“The reasons for the preventive custody of the accused persist,” said Pavol Adamčiak, spokesperson for the Bratislava Regional Court, as quoted by the TASR newswire.

The court also rejected Juraj Hossu’s request to be released. The decision is rightful so Hossu remains in custody, the spokesperson added.
The Bratislava District court decided on the continuation of custody on December 19 and also set the date of the next court session to January 28.
On May 26, 2018 Juraj Hossu attacked a Filipino citizen living in Bratislava, Henry Acorda, who was trying to stop him from harassing two women at Obchodná street in downtown Bratislava.

Acorda succumbed to his injuries. The police accused Hossu of manslaughter. A judge decided to impose preventive custody to prevent Hossu's continuation of such criminal activity.
