This year the Way to Culture project, aimed at exposing children to culture, is bringing a series of special lessons to schools in Prešov.

The project, which teaches dance and features a musical concert, was created in reaction to the insufficient knowledge and declining interest in culture among children, the main coordinator of the initiative, Zachariáš Hubáček, a singer from Prešov, told the TASR newswire. He added that this project is the conclusion of cooperation between the Pre – show Dance Studio, the Piknik band and himself, adding that pupils seem to like this combination.

Hubáček explained they wanted to motivate children and engender in them an appreciation for culture with humorous, educational and effective lessons to show them that school can sometimes be fun. In addition to Hubáček, lecturer Sandra Sabolová, choreographer Miroslav Vybíral and dancer Ján Grega are participating in the project.

The “dance education” lasts for four lessons, and the schools must register students one month in advance.
