"We currently make top-class SUVs here, and the new Up! model, which is part of the New Small Family series, is now going to be added," Tostmann said, as quoted by the TASR newswire. According to Gašparovič, the German carmaker, which has been operating in Slovakia for 20 years, provides Slovaks with good, well-paid jobs. Volkswagen Slovakia produced almost 94,600 Volkswagen, Audi and Porsche cars in Bratislava in the first half of 2011, representing 45-percent production growth year-on-year. The company's turnover rose by 33.3 percent year-on-year during the same period to €2.4 billion.
