Emília Sičáková-Beblavá, president of Transparency International Slovakia, relinquished her membership in the workgroup for updating the 'National Program for Combating Corruption' on September 30.
In a letter to Prime Minister Robert Fico, she stated the reason for her resignation was an "absence of any significant measures undertaken by the group in combating corruption, despite the specific proposals [she] has submitted".
Sičáková-Beblavá, who co-founded the Slovak branch of Transparency International in 1998, became a member of the workgroup in 2007. TASR
