SLOVAK Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic and US Ambassador to Slovakia Rodolphe M Vallee signed two bilateral agreements on February 6 concerning legal assistance in criminal cases and cooperation on extradition, the TASR news agency wrote.
Both sides can now ask for information on bank transfers and bank accounts, while a mutual investigation team is also being established.
The second agreement, the "Legal Instrument on Extradition", says that neither state is obliged to hand over citizens of the other country for criminal prosecution in crimes whose sentences do not exceed one year's imprisonment.
