Wages up almost 10 per cent

The average Slovak monthly wage in the first half of 2002 was Sk12,800 ($300), up almost 10 per cent in nominal terms and 5.5 per cent in real terms from the first half of 2001, with rates ranging from a high of Sk19,654 in one Bratislava district to an average Sk8,627 in east Slovakia’s Bardejov district.
