The annual Wilsonic electronic music festival will start the music festival season with a bang, playing on five stages next to the Danube in Bratislava on June 8 and 9.
"Wilsonic is a festival that presents cutting-edge music trends in advanced, urban and electronic music," said festival organiser Tibor Holoda.
Headliners Koop (Sweden) and Nouvelle Vague (France) and around fifty other acts will appear live on the Tyršovo embankment on the south bank of the Danube.
World mixing champions and DJ quartet Birdy Nam Nam from Paris will also perform, while British band The Heritage Orchestra will prove that dance music can even be played on classical instruments.
The Wilsonic Festival was first staged in 2002 by DJ Tibor Holoda and writer Michal Hvorecký, and since then has grown from a small event for a limited group of music fans to an internationally recognized music festival. The event has hosted over 200 acts up to now, and was attended by 4,000 people last year.
