“The Nitra Regional Court returned the case to the district court for further proceedings,” court’s spokesperson Mário Piovarči told Sme.
The reasoning is not known yet as the court issued the verdict at a closed session.

Žáková (who formerly went by the surname Malinová but has since married) is an ethnic Hungarian who reported to have been attacked in August 2006 after two men overheard her speaking Hungarian on the phone.
The General Prosecutor’s Office closed the investigation of the case on April 2, when the prosecutor submitted a proposal to the court to charge her with perjury. The Nitra District Court however dismissed it, citing a violation of defendant’s rights as the file was not translated into Hungarian. The reason was that Malinová-Žáková moved to Hungary and is a Hungarian citizen since December 2013, Sme wrote.
The court sent a request to the GPO, for the charge to be translated in November. The General Prosecutor’s Office refused, arguing that after having filed the charge, it is no longer entitled to issue decisions, according to the daily.
