Cabinet approves reconstruction of premises for NATO
MILITARY premises in the Bratislava borough of Vajnory which will accommodate the newly set up NATO Force Integration Unit (NFIU) from September 2016 will be reconstructed. At its session on January 20, the cabinet approved the announcement of a public procurement process for their reconstruction.
Military plane crash victims commemorated
SLOVAK President Andrej Kiska and his Hungarian counterpart János Áder paid homage to 41 Slovak soldiers and one civilian ministry official who were killed in a military aircraft crash in the Hungarian village of Hejce on January 19, 2006.

SLOVAKIA is to buy more than 46,000 guns and related equipment worth almost €23 million (before VAT) to be used by police, prison guards, customs officers and the military, the TASR newswire learnt on December 17.
