First phase of new cycling route connects Horná Streda and Nové Mesto nad Váhom

The cycling route will measure 100 kilometres overall.

The unique 100-kilometre long cycling route called Vážska Cyklomagistrála will cross through the Trenčín self-governing region.

Only the first phase of the route is ready to use. It is 13.4 kilometres long and connects Horná Streda and Nové Mesto nad Váhom. By the end of the summer holiday the section between Púchov and Nosická dam will also be available.

Other parts of the route are still under construction. The Vážska Cyklomagistrála should, in the future, extend into the Trnavský self-governing region which wants to start building a 15-kilometre stretch between Horný Čepeň and Šulekovo. Cyclists should be able to use this part by 2020 at the latest.
