The Slovak capital has a new fashion map. The Bratislava Fashion Map 2018 will help tourists as well as local fashion lovers on their quest for authentic shops with the latest designs or fashion accessories from local designers in Bratislava and its vicinity. Compared to last year’s edition, the map contains 32 more outlets and is double in size. Also, while the map was bilingual last year, this year they decided to prepare two different versions – Slovak and English. It is available for free in each shop on the map and tourist information centres.

“It is a great honour for me to launch this excellent and unique map,” said singer Mária Čírová, who launched the map in early April. While she wore just T-shirts and jeans 10 years ago, now she likes fashion and often wears interesting pieces by Slovak designers.

There are 78 outlets on the map, including tips on where visitors can find quality cafés, galleries or bookshops in Bratislava and its vicinity, with a short text on each. The map, published in colour this year (violet), also offers recommended routes.

“We tried to create a mix that will provide a very pleasant day-long adventure for people visiting the Slovak capital,” said Zuzana Bobíková from the Slovak Fashion Council, as cited by the SITA newswire. “We want to further extend the lists and inform people about new places.”

Its authors from the Slovak Fashion Council are now working on a mobile app. The plan is to introduce its first version during the summer months.

“Thanks to its digital format the map will be richer, offering possibilities for various interactions with blogs, photos and ratings,” said Zuzana Bobíková of the Slovak Fashion Council.
