A new promenade will arise on the banks of Zemplínska Šírava water reservoir. Košice Region Tourism ran a competition last October to pick the best ideas on how the promenade should look, reported regional Korzár daily.
The winning design is by Tomáš Pozdech and Miroslav Michalica from Bratislava's 2M architecture studio. The aim of the competition was to find a solution on how to connect Thermalpark Šírava and Hotel Glamour.
“17 teams participated in the competition, which is a great number,” said Lenka Vargová Jurková from Košice Region Tourism, as quoted by Korzár.
Local contributors as well those from Brno and Prague tried their luck. All architectonic solutions are exhibited in Košice’s Kulturpark until March 10.
Lenka Vargová Jurková believes that they will succeed in building the promenade by the end of 2019.
