The Festival aims to emphasize English as a bridge leading to mutual understanding, information and cultural experience. The opening performance will be Kukucheers, an adaptation of Slovak classic comedy Rysavá jalovica (Red Heifer) by Martin Kukučín, produced by the Slovak theatre group Bridgin'Drama.
The Bear Educational Theatre from Prague, the Czech Republic, will come to the Festival to perform their piece The History of England – Part I., which is a humorous overview of England’s history. Teatr Malabar Hotel, theatre ensemble from Poland, will introduce their adaptation of King Lear, the play by William Shakespeare. Hungary will be represented by The Turkey Theatre Troupe performing their play Liar inspired by Isaac Asimov. Moreover, the Festival will introduce a special guest: Open House Theatre from Vienna, Austria, performing their Hedda, which is inspired by Henrik Ibsen’s eponymous play.
The Festival will also include workshops for teachers and students of English language, focused on implementation of drama into teaching English. In addition, visitors will have an opportunity to see exhibitions by four artists from the V4 countries, who will present their work in Pezinok’s Culture House.

The event is organized by the Bridge - English Language Centre.
