INFORMATION technologies personality of the year is CEO of the WebSupport company, Michal Truban. The IT Company of the Year 2015 is Innovatrics which develops and delivers software solutions for biometric projects, the IT Association of Slovakia (ITAS) informed the SITA newswire.
The IT project of the Year 2015 title was won by Sygic Car Navigation, a hybrid navigation system for interconnected vehicles. The IT Product of the Year is ePobočka (i.e. eBranch) offering 24/7 services for all clients of the Všeobecná Zdravotná Poisťovňa (VšZP) state health insurer.
The prizes for contributions to the IT sector are awarded by the informal association of Slovak journalists and members of associations of professions in information technologies and telecommunications; the goal is to appraise the best expertise and managerial efforts of personalities and firms in this branch, as well as the most important projects and products of the year.
This year a committee put together a wider nomination of over 200 personalities, companies, projects and products from this sector. The annual events IT SUMMIT and IT GALA are organised by the ITAS and publisher Digital Visions.
