Czech insurance company Česká pojišťovna July 24 said that it was interested in privatising the Slovak state insurer Slovenská poisťovňa (SP); deadlines for expressing preliminary interest in the firm passed the same day.
The Finance Ministry has refused to say how many interested parties applied for an information memorandum. SP is due to be sold by the end of the year.
