The aim of the TechSummit & Gadget Expo Bratislava 2017 which will be held in Bratislava on May 10 and 11, is to introduce the way in which innovations in different fields of an economy will become an important factor in the economical development of a country.
The second year of the conference, organised by the Future Proof company, will welcome 120 speakers from 10 countries across the world.
Visitors will have the opportunity to meet top Slovak innovators and inspiring world trends. Another aim of the event is to connect representatives of the private sector and state and public administration with local and foreign leaders and experts, using B2B matching.
“The Conference is a business development platform that connects participants, speakers and partners and allows you to create mutual synergies,” said Dávid Čajko, founder, organiser and expert guarantor of the conference, as quoted in the press release.
The event will be divided into several smaller discussion panels that will focus on selected areas where further development is closely related to the digital economy. Top experts from the United Kingdom will introduce the Biomed Healtec section which promises dramatic changes in health-care provision, while manufacturing and logistics companies will determine whether the Industry 4.0 project will alleviate the shortage of skilled labour in Slovakia.
Moreover, experts in the field of the Internet of Things will try to answer the question of how to keep up with innovations, while they will also focus on social media and security in cyberspace, one of the key topics across the world which both governments and private companies have to deal with. As part of the V4 Regional Cyber Security panel, the participants will also discuss the effects of innovations versus legislative changes on cyber security.
The representatives of municipal authorities may also be attracted by the Smart Cities concept, which proposes a vision of future of municipalities and regions. Another part of the conference will be Startup Stage.
“Our ambition is to become the leading event in the presentation of the involvement of innovation in the economy, in the V4 region,” Čajko said, as quoted in the press release. “The geographical location of Bratislava, local innovation potential and a growing market of companies that are dedicated to this subject, supported our decision to hold this event in the capital of Slovakia.”
The event is held in cooperation with the Economy Ministry.
