THE CABINET approved a draft submitted by the Transport Ministry concerning the financing of highway projects via the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.
The draft concerns an alternative for completing the construction of Slovak highways, along with speedways linking Bratislava and Košice, using the PPP model for selected stretches of road.
Mott MacDonald, which is advising the Slovak Highway Administration Bureau (SSC) on selecting methods and conditions for financing highway construction using private capital, carried out a study, which showed that the PPP system could work in Slovakia.
