IN APRIL 2004, the registered unemployment rate decreased to 15.25 percent, the lowest April figure since 1998 and a 0.2 percent drop year-on-year.
The private news agency SITA wrote that the number of disposable unemployed was 399,309 at the end of the month, which is almost 20,000 less than in March.
The average unemployment rate for the first four months of this year reached 16.09 percent, down by 0.6 percentage points year-on-year.
Some experts predict that the unemployment rate will continue to fall and that it could drop below 15 percent in May.
