CHANGES to the Labour Code and a planned amendment to the Social Insurance Act contributed to a decline in the business environment in Slovakia, a new survey shows.
The business environment index slumped to 123.4 points in the second quarter of 2007, according to the latest regular survey from the Business Alliance of Slovakia (PAS), released on August 28.
That's a decrease of 0.7 percent compared to the first quarter of 2007, and the fourth consecutive quarterly decrease, the TASR newswire wrote.
According to PAS, the steepest decline in the second quarter was recorded in the 'labour legislation' component.
