Even though the number of people working in business and shared service centres in Slovakia declined slightly last year, the centres keep looking for talent to dig even deeper roots even in Slovakia and win new competences within their groups. They are looking mainly for new employees with specialisations in IT, accounting and finance, and even with a focus on artificial intelligence. These positions may be interesting for Slovaks currently working abroad, but pondering a return home.

The Slovak Spectator asked the biggest centres in Slovakia which specialists they are currently seeking. AT&T’s Global Network Services Slovakia is searching for a ServiceNow Developer; the IBM International Services Centre is eager to employ a GEN AI Lead Developer involving the development and implementation of Generative AI; and Swiss Re wants to hire a senior auditor. DXC Technology Slovakia is looking for a range of experts, including SAP consultant, enterprise architect and global programme leaders.

Henkel Slovensko Global Business Solutions+ Bratislava

Henkel and Henkel Slovensko have a growing demand for professionals with exceptional analytical and technical skills, which are key to their continued development. All open positions can be found on their career page.

“With rapid technological advancements and a dynamically changing marketplace, expertise in data science is becoming increasingly important,” said Zuzana Kaňuchová, Director of Corporate Communications for Central and Eastern Europe (SK, HU, CZ).

They are typically looking for professionals proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and Visual Basic, with experience in automation tools. Advanced knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and SQL, is essential for effective data analysis. In addition to technical skills, they emphasise adaptability and responsiveness to change.

“We are looking for people who are not afraid of challenges, eager to learn new things, and able to adapt to new technologies, processes, and market developments,” said Kaňuchová. “At Henkel, we value flexibility, precision, and independence, especially when working with sensitive data or preparing analytical reports.”

Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues, management, and clients.

“We anticipate an increased demand for professionals in key areas such as ESG, procurement, supply chain management, and controlling,” Kaňuchová added.

ServiceNow Developer, AT&T Global Network Services Slovakia

The company is hiring a ServiceNow Developer with a background in cross-platform software engineering and experience in project delivery.

“This opportunity will support the transformation of our industry-standard order and delivery management systems,” the company stated.

The role requires close collaboration with US-based product management, business systems, and operations teams throughout the system development life cycle. A successful candidate should have experience in designing, developing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Senior Auditor, Swiss Re

As a Senior Auditor specialising in treasury and capital management within Group Internal Audit (GIA), the selected candidate will leverage their expertise in capital, capacity and cost management, asset and liability management, financial regulations, and reinsurance. The role involves participation in a variety of audit activities and regular engagement with senior stakeholders and function heads across multiple lines of business.

“This role offers the opportunity to address issues with organisational impact and shape Swiss Re’s risk culture,” the company states on its website.

Country Controller, Clarios Slovakia

Clarios Slovakia is looking to hire a Country Controller responsible for regional finance, planning, budgeting and accounting.

Internal IT Auditor, Kyndryl Services Slovensko

Kyndryl Services Slovensko is seeking an Internal IT Auditor to conduct risk-based corporate internal IT audits, primarily assessing infrastructure and company systems within IT-managed services. The role involves evaluating complex IT environments, including cloud hosting settings, network infrastructure, operating systems, databases, and applications. The auditor will implement frameworks to ensure the design and effectiveness of IT controls and provide advisory services in IT engagements.

Accounting Professional, Siemens – Competence Centres

“This position involves analytical reviews, closure management, and the establishment of new companies within the Siemens Group,” said Laura Badinská, Administrative Assistant in the Marketing Department at Siemens s.r.o. “Responsibilities include process harmonisation in Central and Eastern Europe, accounting, closing and IFRS-compliant reporting.”

The role also involves management support, special projects such as M&A transactions, IT system implementation and process optimisation.

Business Control Specialist, ING Hubs Slovakia

“In this role, you will work within the First Line of Defense (LoD), ensuring ING entities maintain control over non-financial risk management activities,” explained Andrej Orogváni, CoE Lead at ING Hubs Slovakia. The position is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a dynamic environment where effective services and risk management are crucial.

Solution Architect, Deutsche Telekom Services Europe Slovakia

“To build the best team in the industry, our HR IT landscape must be digital, fast, and simple across the group,” said Ján Jászberényi, Head of Communications and Marketing for Slovakia and the Czech Republic. “Our mission includes creating a seamless user experience based on a clean database with well-integrated HR tech platforms. That is why we are looking for tech-savvy professionals.”

As a Solution Designer, the candidate will develop complex solutions for virtual or physical product and service improvements in close collaboration with functional and IT units. Responsibilities include rolling out Employee Central in Deutsche Telekom’s international subsidiaries, including in Germany.

“You will work closely with our development teams and outsourcing partners,” added Jászberényi.

Lean Six Sigma Specialist, Financial Controller, and Developer, UNIQA Group Service Center Slovakia

The Lean Six Sigma Specialist in this international insurance company will be responsible for process improvements to enhance efficiency and service quality. The Financial Controller will manage financial operations and ensure the company’s financial stability, while the Developer will design and develop software solutions for internal systems.

Business Development Manager Data Europe, Orange Business Services Slovakia

“In this role, you will focus on managing and expanding our existing accounts while also identifying new business opportunities and revenue streams,” said Jana Tajcnerová, Business Support/PMO to Site Leader. “The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset.”

Responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, and generating new business opportunities by engaging with key decision-makers. The role also involves contributing to country and product strategy development to ensure target achievement across the assigned territory.
