The company HELLA Slovakia Lighting s.r.o., with its 3 production plants located in Kočovce, Trenčín, and Bánovce nad Bebravou, is the leader in the production of lighting technology for the automotive industry in Slovakia and with more than 3,500 employees is one of the leading employers in the Slovak automotive sector.
The growth of HELLA’s competitiveness in Slovakia is also supported by continuous investments in the digitization and automation of production processes in the amount of approximately EUR 6 million on a yearly basis.
In January 2022, the HELLA Group became part of the FAURECIA Group. The transaction created the seventh-largest supplier in the automotive industry in the world and also the global market leader in fast-growing technologies under the common brand FORVIA.
A State-Of-The-Art R&D Center

In 2021, we established a new R&D center at the production plant in Bánovce nad Bebravou which develops rear combination lights for the entire European market. The center offers about 100 vacancies for designers, optical engineers, electronics engineers, simulation engineers, as well as project managers, lead designers, and system engineers.

The R&D team in Bánovce designs rear combination light solutions for most of the mainstream car producers such as the VW Group, Stellantis (PSA and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), etc., and of course for premium carmakers, including Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz.

The center’s activities cover the entire development and design process, from design through mechanical and optical design, electronics, vibration, and thermal simulations, and quality control to the procurement of tools, molds, and related administrative activities.
