Vaillant Industrial Slovakia, a member of the German Vaillant Group, is expanding. The company producing the inner parts of boilers has almost doubled its production premises to 28,000 square metres in Trenčianske Stankovce (Trenčín Region) and increased its labour force by more than 200 people to 900. It ceremonially opened new premises for €16 million on September 14.
“The expansion of the plant is an important investment for us,” said Radovan Prístavok, director of Vaillant Industrial Slovakia, as cited in the press release. “The importance of our production plant within the Vaillant Group is growing and accompanied by an increasing demand for our products.”
The investment arrived directly from Vaillant Group headquartered in Remscheide, Germany.
“We have never drawn EU funds or tax relief from the state,” said Prístavok.
Vaillant Industrial Slovakia is one of the biggest employers in the region. Two thirds of its employees work in production and the rest in logistics and administration.
The company has a specific focus within the European plants of the Vaillant Group. It produces and assembles modules, i.e. the inner parts of boilers. It is a strategic supplier of boiler modules and components for all of the Vaillant Group’s European plants.
It manufactures more than 4 million modules annually. It exports about 99 percent of them while only 1 percent of its production remains in the Slovak market.
“It is possible to say that almost each wall-hung Vaillant boiler contains a piece of Trenčín,” said Prístavok.
