New fast train to connect Bratislava and Prague

AS OF December 10, a so-called Pendolino fast train will start operating on a regular line connecting Bratislava and Prague.

Passengers will get to Prague from the Slovak capital in three hours and 49 minutes. The train travels at speeds of over 100 kilometers per hour and in selected places will go as fast as 160 kilometers per hour, Sme wrote.

The train connection will be operated under the name SC Slovenská strela (SC Slovak missile) by the Czech and Slovak railway companies České dráhy and Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko.

The new Pendolino connection will be 22 minutes faster than the current fastest connection, the Euro City Slovenská strela.
