On March 6, the Sme daily published the names of the candidates being considered for the post of STV director general.
The four-member commission of the STV Council opened the envelopes behind closed doors. Of 27 candidates, 18 fulfilled the conditions, seven failed to meet them and two are still being discussed.
Former TV Markíza director Vladimír Repčík, former Czechoslovak Television anchor Štefan Nižnánsky, Ľubomír Belák and STV representative Jozef Mračna are among the candidates. TASR
