Krakovany wedding expo shows what a traditional Slovak bride looked like

A wedding expo that took place in Krakovany village near Piešťany showed how a traditional Slovak bride dresses.

Besides the wedding dress, wedding rings and a sweet tasting, there was also a programme from the folk group Máj (May) that performed the traditional “čepčenie“ of the bride – a ritual where married women replaced the wreath worn by the bride with a scarf on her wedding night, which she had to wear everytime she left the house.
