TAKEN by the art photographer Pavol Socháň, this fine picture of Blatnica castle and its environs was taken in the early 1900s. The castle dates back to the 14th century. By 1790 it had been abandoned. Today, this location is especially popular with tourists: Blatnica towers over the Gader valley, one of the most splendid in the Veľká Fatra national park.
