A BLESSING of this year's wine will open the three-day Festivities of Young Wine that starts in Bratislava on November 9. After the festival's official opening, citizens and visitors of Bratislava can taste wines from the capital's various districts and the Low Carpathians region. Winemakers expect that last year's summer and sunny autumn have given the wines an exceptional quality. Apart from wine, attendants can also taste local delicacies, buy folk handicrafts and watch performances by folk ensembles and other artists. The event - which is the result of efforts by Bratislava, wine makers from the Low Carpathians and the festival of Bratislava's patron, St. Martin - will take place at the Primaciálne námestie and the courtyard of the Old City Hall.
