After five years of the art gallery's existence, being under the Culture Ministry turned out to be an impediment to the department.

The Culture Ministry needs to spend €260 million on the creative industry from European funds, although a single euro has not been allocated to any project to date.

Thus, the ministry seeks to establish and move the Creative Hub Bratislava (Kreatívne centrum Bratislava) into the current premises of Kunsthalle.
