This year, the Shooting Stars jury selected nine promising actors out of 22 proposed by members of the European Film Promotion. Apart from Igonda, these are Stine Fischer Christensen (Denmark), Nicolas Cazalé (France), Hannah Herzsprung (Germany), Zsolt Nagy (Hungary), Elio Germano (Italy), Maryam Hassouni (the Netherlands), Anamaria Marinca (Romania) and Joel Basman (Switzerland).

During the festival, the selected actors will attend a series of presentation events which include meetings with journalists, film producers and casting agents.

The Shooting Stars jury picked Igonda for his "impressive performance of depth and sincerity in Facing the Enemy, which made us believe completely in his terrible situation". The jury also pointed out his exceptional potential as an actor.

In 2007, Igonda played Helmut Kampen, the lead role in the Slovak film Rozhovor s nepriateľom, Facing the Enemy, by Patrik Lančarič. He also contributed to the film as co-screenwriter.

Thanks to his excellent English, in recent years he has often been cast in foreign film productions, finding success in both supporting and leading roles (Dark Spirits, Behind Enemy Lines, Hannibal Rising, and others).
