Renata Kliska, a distinguished member of the International Women's Club in Bratislava (IWCB), recently added a prestigious feather to her cap by receiving the Fashion Oscar del la Moda in Rome.
This accolade not only brings glory to Renata but also to Slovakia, as it highlights the incredible talent within our local community.
Renata, known for her exquisite taste, has been a driving force in the fashion world. Her recent recognition in Rome is a testament to her dedication and contribution to the industry.
As an active member of IWCB, Renata has not only showcased her flair for fashion but also served as an IWCB charity committee member, supporting the underprivileged members of our society, e.g. TK Danube (dance therapy ensemble for people with mental and physical impairments).
The Fashion Oscar del la Moda is a well-deserved acknowledgment of Renata’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity and elegance. Her unique vision has not only captivated the local scene but has earned international acclaim. Her label ‘La Rena’ was featured in the Slovak Fashion Night at the New York Fashion Week and Fashion Gala at the Cannes’ Film Festival, just to name a few.
We asked Renata how she felt when awarded her ‘Oscar’.
“I was incredulous when contacted via social networks with my nomination for a Fashion Oscar. I gladly accepted and proceeded with a successful fashion show of my evening collection at the Oscars event in Rome. I was even more surprised when my name was called at the award ceremony thereafter. I don’t think I was fully comprehending what was happening around me at that moment. When I walked to accept my Oscar, I felt I was representing my whole country. The feeling was amazing but it came in tandem with responsibility and future commitment. I accepted the award with a humble gratitude,” says Renata.
And her plans for this year?
“I would like to seize the opportunity to show my new collection at our Slovak Fashion Night at the Couture Fashion Week in New York. I would also like to participate and contribute to a charitable event within International Women’s Club of Bratislava. In the interim, I have accepted invitations to the fashion weeks and shows amongst others e.g. in Paris, Milan, Rome, Nice, Portfino, Cannes, and Monaco,” she added.
In celebrating Renata Kliska, we also recognize the vibrant and diverse talents that thrive within IWCB. Renata’s success serves as a beacon for other members, encouraging them to reach for new heights in their respective fields.
Congratulations to Renata and we eagerly anticipate witnessing more brilliance from her and other inspiring members of the IWCB.
